Craniosacral Therapy

This work is a subtle and useful for internal healing modality. It focuses on releasing restrictions in the connective tissue surrounding and affecting your central nervous system. By reversing restrictions resulting from physical and emotional trauma or postural imbalances, the nervous and endocrine systems are brought back into balance. It is extremely relaxing and restoring with effects felt through out the entire body and mind.

Compressive Deep Tissue

Barefoot application of high pressure over a broad surface, utilizing a western anatomical and physiologic perspective to time honored eastern techniques. This is powerful for releasing deeply held tension and for softening and spreading muscles and fascia relieving chronic pain. It is done clothed, on a futon with pillow bolsters.

Pre-natal and Postpartum Massage

This massage increases health and facilitates comfort through this transformative time, relieves muscular aches and pains in an ever-changing body. It balances hormones, soothes nerves and increases circulation. Also, it reestablishing balance and alignment after labor and relieving new postural discomfort from holding, lifting and feeding the baby.

Tui Na

Tui Na is a Chinese body therapy dating back to 1700BC.  It is based on the theory that Qi (energy) flows in channels throughout the body.  This technique stimulates these channels and specific acupoints to allow Qi and blood to flow freely and to bring the body back into its normal state. This dynamic technique is excellent for both muscular and joint problems as well as internal diseases ranging from digestive disorders to women’s health issues to cancer, and post surgery.  Techniques range from light to deep pressure, kneading, stretching, and moving joints.  Clothes are kept on for this treatment.

Reiki

Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Sessions can help ease tension and stress and can help support the body to aid in an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional.
